NEWINGTON, CT — A brush fire on Cedar Mountain is currently causing a "moderate smoke condition" in the mountain's surrounding area, Newington police said.

The Newington Volunteer Fire Department is currently on scene working to contain the flames, police said in a "moderate" AtlasOne Alert at around 2:42 p.m. Thursday.
