Duo Held Woman Captive At Newington Motel For Money, Officials Say
The man and woman are accused of keeping the woman against her will for two days, and forcing her to withdraw money at a nearby store.
NEWINGTON, CT — A man and woman from New Britain have been charged with kidnapping another woman and holding her captive for two days for money, officials said.
The investigation began on Oct. 28, when Newington Police officers were called to the Stop and Shop on Fenn Road. An employee called police for help while the victim was being forced to withdraw money, officials said.
Officers spoke to the woman and determined that she had been held against her will at Grantmoor Motor Lodge for the past two days, police said.

On Sunday, officers arrested 37-year-old Amanda Ditommaso and 41-year-old Tyler Graham on an active kidnapping warrant, after identifying them as the suspects.
Ditommaso was charged with kidnapping in the first degree, conspiracy to commit kidnapping in the first degree, failure to appear in the first degree, and four counts of failure to appear in the second degree. She was detained on a $237,500 bond and is scheduled to appear at New Britain Superior Court on Jan. 21.

Graham was charged with kidnapping in the first degree and conspiracy to commit kidnapping in the first degree. He posted a $200,000 bond and was turned over to East Hartford Police for another arrest warrant, police said. He is scheduled to appear at New Britain Superior Court on Feb. 3.
