Fire Now Out At Newington Business: FD: UPDATE

NEWINGTON, CT — Firefighters swarmed a commercial building on Pane Road near Rockwell Road Thursday morning as flames and smoke accompanied the falling snowflakes.

The Newington Volunteer Fire Department posted Thursday morning that firefighters, including some mutual aid units, were "currently working a commercial structure fire at a business on Pane Road."

Few details were available, but WFSB Channel 3 reports the scene appears to be a storage building near the Sunshine Laundry operation off 16 Rockwell Road in that area.

Later in the morning, the NVFD reported the fire was out and the site overhauled, with the town's fire marshal on the scene investigating.

No further action was required and no injuries were reported, the NVFD said.
