Man Stabbed, Woman Injured At Newington Motel Overnight: Police
Police are looking for a male suspect who allegedly stabbed a man and threw an object at a woman's head. Both victims know him, police said.

NEWINGTON, CT — A male suspect stabbed a man multiple times and allegedly threw an object at a woman's head at a Newington motel overnight, Newington police said.
Police responded to a report of a stabbing at the Hi View Motel (2273 Berlin Tpke.) shortly after 3 a.m. Monday. There, they found a man with multiple stab wounds and a woman with a head injury, police said.
Officers were told that a male suspect, known to both victims, forced his way into the victims' motel room.

"The male suspect allegedly threw an object at the female which struck her head and caused an injury," Newington police said on Twitter. "The suspect then stabbed the male victim multiple times before fleeing on foot."
Both victims were given first aid, then taken in an ambulance to Hartford Hospital for treatment, police said.

Though officers tried to find the suspect with help from a Middletown K9 unit, they were unable to, police said. An investigation remains ongoing.
