New Millionaire Who Bought Ticket In Newington Sought By CT Lotto
The winning ticket was for $1.6 million and it was purchased Friday at a Newington gas station/convenience store.
NEWINGTON, CT — So, who wants to be a millionaire?
Apparently, somebody who purchased a lottery ticket in Newington recently does. The only problem, though, is lottery officials don't know who that person is.
The Connecticut Lottery Corp. said Monday a million-dollar winning ticket was sold at a Newington gas station/convenience store on Friday.

It was purchased at the Newington Citgo at 2407 Berlin Turnpike, according to the lottery corp.
Specifically, the Lotto! drawing game earned the winner, who was not yet known, a $1.6 million prize with a lump sum prize of $1.05 million. (Uncle Sam gets his share after all.)

The ticket was the lone winner out of 4,056 sold on Friday, Nov. 17, lottery officials said.
"Is it yours? Check your tickets," wrote the lottery corp. Monday.
The winning Lotto! numbers for Nov. 17, were 3 - 11 - 15 - 28 - 32 - 40.
For its part in selling the winning ticket, that Citgo store will receive a $10,000 retailer commission.
The overall chance of winning a prize in Lotto! is 1 in 39.3. The chance of winning the jackpot is 1 in approximately 7.1 million.
Players for this drawing have 180 calendar days or until May 15, 2024, to claim their winning tickets.
