Newington Gas Station Makes Wethersfield Resident A Millionaire

NEWINGTON/WETHERSFIELD, CT — For those close to a Wethersfield resident this holiday season, they might be expecting a little more gifts in the stocking this year.

That's because a Thursday, Nov. 30, trip to a Newington gas station/convenience store has resulted in a massive Lotto! payout.

How massive? The winner, according to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., hit the jackpot for a $1.6 million payout.

The winning ticket by the unnamed Wethersfield resident was purchased at the Citgo Newington station/store on 2407 Berlin Turnpike, Newington.

Lotto! is a regular drawing game that costs $1 to play, but the payout starts at $1 million, according to the lottery corporation.
