Newington Lotto Winner's Friday The 13th Was A Very Lucky Day

NEWINGTON, CT— There was nothing unlucky about one Newington resident's day on Friday the 13th last week.

That's because the individual won a cool $100,000 playing a scratch-off ticket purchased at the Newington A-1 gas station/convenience store at 129 Willard Ave., according to the Connecticut Lottery Corp.

The winning ticket was sold on Friday, Oct. 13, and the game was the $150,000 A Year For Life! scatch-off game.

While the payout fell short of the maximum allotment, the $10 game and its $100,000 prize still made for a nice investment return.
