Newington Man Accused Of Possessing/Distributing Child Porn: Police
The 30-year-old suspect will appear in New Britain Superior Court on June 2.
NEWINGTON, CT — A Newington man is accused by police of possessing and distributing images of children being sexually abused.
According to the Newington Police Department, Ethan Roy, 30, of Newington, has been charged with first-degree possession of child sexual abuse material.
Roy, police said, was taken into custody on Monday, May 19.

Police said Roy posted a $250,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at New Britain Superior Court on June 2.
According to the NPD, Roy is accused of partaking in the possession and transmission of child sexual abuse material.

Police said the charge follows an investigation that started after a cyber tip was received through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
"Upon receiving the tip, detectives conducted an extensive investigation that involved the execution of several search warrants," wrote the NPD. "Digital evidence confirmed the possession of illegal content, leading to Roy’s arrest without incident."
