Newington Man Scratches Off Life-Altering Lotto Payout

NEWINGTON, CT — A local man's recent trip to the store netted a sweet payout after playing a Connecticut Lottery Corp. scratch-off game.

According to the CT Lottery Corp., Newington resident Matthew Lemire won $30,000 playing the 30X Cash 10th Edition scratch-off game on Thursday, March 9.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Zain Food Mart in Newington, 295 Main St.

The game features a $30,000 maximum payout and costs $10 to play, according to CT Lotto.
