Newington PD Seeks Two Separate Missing Persons

Newington police are seeking the public's help in finding them, issuing two separate alerts on Friday.

NEWINGTON, CT — Local police Friday issued two separate missing person alerts for Newington residents as they seek the public's help in finding them.

According to the Newington Police Department, they are:

• Thomas Mitchell Porylo, 39, who is described as a white male standing 5-feet-11-inches tall and weighing 200 pounds with blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and black sneakers, police said.

Police said Porylo was last seen at the Newington Fastrak station getting onto a bus en route to Hartford.

Police said he's been missing since Jan. 1, has no cell phone and doesn't drive.

"According to his mother, he has not been heard of since," the NPD wrote.

• Billie Frances Blackwell, 64, who is described as a white female standing 5-feet-6-inches tall and weighing 130-150 pounds.

She has gray hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a green jacket with multiple layers of clothing underneath, gray sweatpants, sneakers, and a colorful knitted hat.

Police said she was last seen exiting Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London the evening of March 21.

Police, citing the Veterans Affairs Office in Newington, said she hasn't been heard from since March 21.
