Newington Resident Wins Nearly $235K Lottery Prize

NEWINGTON, CT — A Newington resident recently won nearly $235,000 on a lottery ticket that was sold in Meriden, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

The resident, who wished to remain anonymous, won $234,701 on a FAST PLAY - $10 HIGH ROLLER PROGRESSIVE ticket that was sold at Stop & Shop at 485 Broad St. in Meriden, according to lottery officials.

The CT Lottery has changed its policy on announcing winners by not including the winners’ full names on the list in order to protect them from potential scams, according to officials.
