Tree Topples On Mail Truck In Newington
The tree also damaged power and communication lines, according to police.

NEWINGTON, CT — A large tree fell late Friday morning and hit a U.S. postal service vehicle and utility lines, police said.
No one was in the mail truck at the time, and no one was injured.
Police and the Newington Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to the scene around 11:19 a.m. Friday. The tree fell near the intersection of Hillside and Homecrest streets.

The tree also knocked down electricity and communication lines, according to police. As of Friday afternoon, the incident was ongoing due to the downed lines, with crews working to fix them.
