Amtrak rail service has been suspended indefinitely between Boston and New York as authorities continue the search for bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

The trains are currently operating, however, between Washington DC and New York, Amtrak tweeted Friday.

Amtrak's high-speed Acela rail line includes a stop in New London.

Police are still conducting a massive manhunt of Tsarnaev, a 19-year-old Massachusetts resident wanted in connection with the Boston Marathon bombing on Monday.

Connecticut police departments have been assisting in the search. The Norwalk police searched an Acela train this morning, and another train was stopped and searched in Darien.

Police also converged on the Cross Sound Ferry terminal in New London for about half an hour this morning. There have been no interruptions in the ferry service noted on the company's website.
