Deans Mill Farm 

Built in the mid-1700s as a functioning livestock farm, Deans Mill Farm has gone through an evolution in recent decades. A full renovation of the historic buildings and rejuvenation of the surrounding 70+ acres has made the property into the incredible venue it is today. Deans Mill Farm now operates primarily as a private event space and five-room bed and breakfast tucked down a private road in Stonington, Connecticut. It shares its property with Dragonfly Equestrian Center and is home to dozens of horses. On the property lies meadows, hiking trails, beautiful fields and Dragonfly Disc Golf. The property can be rented for weddings, birthday parties and other special events. Additionally, the bed and breakfast can be rented by the room or reserved in its entirety for complete privacy. The Farm has the ability to host small private indoor events for up to 50 guests in the Farmhouse. Outdoor tented events are our specialty, with numerous locations on-site that are picturesque for your celebration. Outdoor tented celebrations can accommodate up to 250 guests.

NEW LONDON, CT — A fire caused significant damage to a garage and destroyed two vehicles in New London on Saturday evening, according to fire officials. Firefighters were dispatched to 71 Summer St. at 5:10 p.m. A blaze had broken out at a single-story, three-bay detached garage. Crews arrived to find the garage well-involved in the fire with two vehicles inside. Firefighters quickly contained the blaze and were able to extinguish it within 10 minutes. The fire was contained to the garage, preventing the spread of the blaze to any nearby structures. No injuries were reported. The single-alarm response included all New London Fire Department companies. Mutual aid and coverage were provided by the East Lyme Fire Department, Groton City Fire Department, Waterford Fire Department, and Sub Base Fire Department. Ambulance coverage was provided by Groton and Waterford, with a paramedic from Lawrence + Memorial Hospital. The New London Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the blaze.
