Fill The Spot: 215 Bank Street

Although there are successful businesses at varying points along Bank Street, I tend to think of the blocks closer to State Street as having certain advantages. They're an easy walk from downtown areas and the nearby municipal parking lots, with on-street parking as well. There's a good traffic flow. And there's a certain critical mass of well-established businesses.

The storefront at 215 Bank Street is located on the outskirts of this section, not far from the intersection with Tilley Street. It is in the same building as the Kente Cultural Center, located between the entrance to the center and Alter Ego. The Gallery at Firehouse Square is nearby, and J Solomon is across the street.

The store operated for a time as the collectible shop Yesterday and Today. It was also the home of D.C. Cycles. Most recently, the space has served only as a temporary political office.
