UPDATED: Two New London Runners In Boston Marathon Confirmed Safe
Kris Wraight, 32, reports to employer that she is safe; three other runners finish before explosions

At least five runners from New London were taking part in the Boston Marathon today, and two have been confirmed to be safe.
Two explosions have killed two people and injured dozens of others, according to the Associated Press. A video shows one of the explosions occurring at the 4:09.45 mark of the race.
Kris Wraight, 32, was one of the participants in the race. A representative at Safe Futures, where Wraight works as a violence prevention educator and program coordinator at the organization, said she was not injured in the blast.Â
According to results from the Boston Athletic Association, Wraight crossed the 40 kilometer point, about 25.86 miles, at 4:54:26 into the race. The Boston Marathon is 26.2 miles, and the race has been canceled with remaining runners redirected to shelters.
The other runners participating in the race were Richard Chmielecki, 30; Elliott J. Kahl, 21; Scott Mindel, 26; and Zachary J. Speck, 22, according to the BAA.Â
Mindel's lists his hometown as Ballston Lake, N.Y. in official results, but in other interviews he has said he currently lives in New London. Mindel finished the race in 30th place with a time of 2:22:25.
A Google Person Finder search engine has been set up to help people provide or find information on those who were at the race. Daniel Cuppoletti confirmed that Mindel is safe, writing, "According to posts on Facebook, Scott is safe and with friends."
Kahl and Speck also finished the race before the explosions. Kahl completed the marathon with a time of 2:59:15 while Speck had a time of 3:12:40.
The BAA did not record any splits for Chmielecki.
Attempts to reach Mindel on his cell phone have been unsuccessful. However, the Associated Press is also reporting that cell phone service in the Boston area has been shut down to prevent any potential remote detonations of explosive devices.
