NEW LONDON, CT — A New London liquor store has had its license suspended and was fined for violations, according to the state Department of Consumer Protection's Liquor Control Commission.

Universal Liquors at 351 N. Frontage St. #2 will have its license suspended Sept. 22 through 26. The store will also pay a $1,500 fine.

The suspension is due to sale/delivery to a minor and conduct of permit premises - permittee strictly accountable, according to the state.
