'A Loving, Honest, Faithful Woman': New London Local Hero

WINDSOR, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Cheryl Straub who has nominated Tasha Hosendove.

Hero's job: Education

Relationship to nominee: Friend

Reason for recognition: Although struggling herself and for her young son, finds resources for her family, friends, neighbors and her community. She shares her food and she helps people pay their rent. She is supplementing her unemployment by doing Census work for the gov.

One thing to know: She is a loving, honest, faithful woman who spends every moment of every day doing for others.
