Nearly 30 Grams Of Crack Cocaine Seized, New London Police Say

A local resident has been charged, police said.

NEW LONDON, CT — New London police said they seized nearly 30 grams of crack cocaine and more than $5,600 on Friday.

At 8:28 a.m. Friday, New London Police Department Narcotics Investigators and members of the Connecticut State Police - Statewide Narcotics Task Force-East served a narcotics related search and seizure warrant at 125 Connecticut Ave., police said.

During the execution of the search and seizure warrant, investigators located and seized 29.9 grams of crack cocaine and $5,642 in U.S. currency, police said.

Police said Nicholas Fleetwood, 23, of Connecticut Avenue, was arrested and charged in association with the search and seizure warrant service. The charges include: Possession of Narcotics; Possession of Narcotics WITS; Tampering w/Evidence; Interfering with an Officer; and Risk of Injury to a Minor.
