New Historic Boat Tour: The Gilded Age along the Thames
On Sunday, August 1, the Thames River Heritage Park will share the stories of the fabulously wealthy who summered in Groton and New London.
(NEW LONDON, CT)- On Sunday, August 1, the Thames River Heritage Park will host a new historic boat tour: "Well-Heeled and Wannabees. The Gilded Age along the Thames." Led by local historian and UConn journalism professor, Gail MacDonald, guests will hear the stories of the fabulously wealthy and growing middle class who spent their summers in Groton and New London.
