“We are thrilled to receive national recognition by the NAEYC! This is further validation that our Preschool Program is providing the highest quality education to our youngest learners,” Superintendent Dr. Cynthia Ritchie said in a statement. “It also acknowledges the dedication of our amazing staff who are steadfastly committed to ensuring that all our students acquire grade level skills and continue to thrive in a safe, encouraging and supportive environment.”

The program offered at the B.P Mission Center is free for Connecticut residents and "utilizes a child’s natural curiosity to build early math, literacy, social and emotional, cognitive and physical skills," according to the statement.
