New London Restaurant Prohibited From Operating After October
A state agency has informed the city that a waterfront restaurant won't be allowed to operate due to violations, according to a report.
NEW LONDON, CT — The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has informed the city that City Dock, a waterfront restaurant, will not be permitted to operate past October, according to The Day of New London.
The agency said the restaurant has failed to remove the shipping containers that make up the restaurant at the end of each season. This violates flood insurance requirements.

The restaurant's owner is attempting to sell the containers and tent that make up the restaurant and Oyster Bar on Custom House Pier.
The parts were listed for sale for $295,000 in a Facebook Marketplace post as a "fully operational Container restaurant complete bar complete kitchen all equipment walk in freezer and refrigerator."

City Dock "offers an array of ice-cold raw bar items and a comprehensive menu featuring fresh local seafood and our twist on new American classics," according to its website. Dishes on the menu include bang bang shrimp, baked Cajun cod tacos, and lobster rolls.
The establishment also regularly offers live music and events like a recent Pirate Party.
City Dock receives an average review of 4.3 stars on Google.
The restaurant opens daily at 11:30 a.m. except for Tuesdays.
A reporter's call to City Dock seeking comment was not immediately returned.
