NEW LONDON, CT — Connecticut’s first and only all magnet school district — has again been recognized for excellence nationally by U.S. News & World Report in its recently published 2025-2026 Best High Schools report (a recognition also received in 2024). The accolade was calculated based on six indicators of school quality: college readiness; breadth of curriculum; scores on state proficiency tests; performance in reading, math, and science; underserved student performance; and graduation rates.
“We know what we are doing is working. Our programs meet students where they are in their learning journeys and provide real-world, project-based experiences which are tailored to individuals’ interests, talents and goals. This approach engages and motivates students to prepare them for success after graduation.” said Dr. Cynthia Ritchie, Superintendent of Schools.
