Stranger Danger—Another Child Is Approached Trying To Catch A School Bus

New London Police are investigating a complaint that a man, possibly hispanic, approached a child who missed the school bus on Thursday morning.

New London Police have issued a second warning about a suspicious person approaching a child in the early morning as school buses are making the rounds in New London.

On September 19, Police received a report that a man, described as dark-skinned or Hispanic and wearing a blue shirt, approached a child who had missed the school bus. Police say the man made comments to the child and followed the child for a short distance. The incident occurred in the vicinity of lower Boulevard and Montauk Avenue. The unidentified man may have been driving a dark-colored sedan at the time. 

New London police are actively investigating this complaint and are using additional resources to try to identify this suspect. Anyone with any information about this, or any similar incidents, is asked to please call New London Police Department at (860) 447-5269.
