Today In New London: La Cage Aux Folles, RN Wednesday, Parks And Rec

1. The Parks and Recreation Commission meets on the first Wednesday of every month to discuss improvements, events, and other issues related to New London's green spaces. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Senior Center

2. If you've seen The Birdcage and, like me, didn't know it was based on a foreign film, you can check out the original tonight at the Hygienic Art Park's "Summer Flickers." They're showing La Cage Aux Folles at 8 p.m.

3: Coming later today on New London Patch: Every Wednesday, Lawrence + Memorial Hospital highlights one of their registered nurses with their blog RN Wednesday. The hospital also takes a look at a doctor or volunteer with their Friday posts.
