Newtown Man Dead After Apparent Overdose: Police
The Newtown man was deceased when officers arrived on scene.
Newtown, CT — On Monday, June 13 at approximately 9:53 p.m., Newtown police said they responded to a report of a possible overdose at 48 Bear's Hill Road.
Upon arrival, officers were informed by EMTs who were already on scene that the male occupant of the residence had died as a result of an overdose, police said. The man was pronounced dead at 10:05 p.m. on Tuesday, police said, and was identified as Robert C. Pixley, III.
Police said that Pixley's body was transported to the State's Officer of the Medical Examiner and is pending issuance of a death certificate.
