Gloria “Jeanne” Smith obituary: Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, East Haven

Gloria “Jeanne” Smith, 75, of East Haven, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025 at CT Hospice in Branford. Jeanne is survived by her loving daughter, Jennifer Rivera (David) of East Haven. She was the proud grandmother of David Rivera (Dominique DeLucia) and Samantha Rivera (Ryan Cordova), and the adoring great-grandmother of Stella Blake Rivera and Rocco David Rivera, who brought endless joy to her life. She is also survived by her two brothers, Benjamin and Thomas Walker along with her cherished fur baby, “Abby”, her faithful companion and constant source of comfort.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Warren “Tom” Smith (2013) and her devoted parents, Clyde and Mildred (Hemstead) Walker who now welcome her home with open arms.

Jeanne was known for her warm heart, quick wit, and the way she could light up any room with laughter. She had a special gift for making others smile and was always ready with a joke to brighten someone’s day. Jeanne will also be remembered for her humor, her kindness, and her deep love for her family. Those who knew her will carry her laughter and light in their hearts always.

Family will receive friends on Friday November 7, 2025 from 9 AM until the time of service at 11:30 AM in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave. East Haven with burial and full US Air Force honors to follow at East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven
