The police department stresses that the near real-time data may change as reports are finalized and should be used cautiously. Officials say they will keep improving the tool to better support community safety and awareness.
   

• Fuel assistance to continue for CT families after oversight of New Opportunities ordered (stamfordadvocate.com) — North Branford’s own House Minority Leader Vincent Candelora is weighing in as state officials move to tighten oversight of a Waterbury nonprofit suspended from Connecticut’s LIHEAP heating assistance program. Leaders from both parties say low‑income families in 30 communities will still receive fuel aid, while investigations continue into alleged misuse of federal heating funds and new financial controls are put in place.
