Local Veterans Celebrated At Annual North Branford Veterans Day Lunch
Two veterans honored with quilts from Quilts of Valor Foundation, presented by Chuck Larkin of North Branford Veterans Service Commission.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — North Branford celebrated local veterans at its annual Veterans Day luncheon Thursday. The event is sponsored and produced by the Parks, Recreation and Senior Center staff at STW Community Center.
Two local veterans were honored with presentations of quilts from the Quilts of Valor Foundation by Chuck Larkin of the North Branford Veterans Service Commission, according to Town Manager Michael Downes.
Kathy Poston, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and Cliff Potter, a veteran of the U.S. Army, Army Guard, and Air National Guard, both received Quilts of Valor sewn especially for them to celebrate their service to our nation and community, Downes said.

Attendees were served by PR&SC staff, as well as Mayor Rose Angeloni, Deputy Mayor Jeff Macmillen, Downes, Public Works Director Fran Merola, and Deputy Public Works Director Dan Celentano.
Special guest speakers were Anne Mosher and Edward Porto from the Veterans Affairs Office of Advocacy and Assistance.
