Mail Carrier Accused Of 'Smearing Unknown Substance' On Mailboxes: PD

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — A postal service employee was charged after being seen "smearing an unknown substance on a victim’s mailbox," police said.

USPS mail carrier Donna Sufyaan-Conyers was arrested onsite Dec. 4 and again by warrant Dec. 12, and charged with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, North Branford police posted on Facebook.

Over the past year, police have responded to seven similar complaints, including multiple incidents at the same victim’s residence, the department shared on social media. In these cases, the substance was smeared on both the exterior and interior of mailboxes, later discovered by the victims, police said.
