NORTH BRANFORD, CT — A grand opening ceremony and ribbon-cutting for the Town’s new Police Department and Emergency Operations Center is set for Wednesday, July 17 at 9:30 a.m.
Construction began on the new $16.2 million facility in February 2023. Located at 305 Forest Road, across the street from the old police building and the entrance to the Town’s Public Works complex, the facility represents a cooperative effort between local, state, and federal authorities with $4.5 million in state funding and $1 million in federal EOC grant funds.
The public is invited to attend the ceremony where local, state, and federal officials, including U.S. Representative Rosa DeLauro (D-3) and State House Minority Leader Vincent Candelora (R-86), will be on hand to celebrate the new state-of-the-art facility.
