We love horror movies and music. The name is an homage to the legendary horror punk band, The Misfits. Static Age is our favorite album by them.
Why start a business in this town?
Find out what's happening in North Branfordfor free with the latest updates from Patch.
The town is very business friendly, and it made perfect sense to have the business next to our other business Bathtime Buddies dog grooming so we can keep our family close.
Briefly, what business are you in?
We are a tattoo shop. We do not do piercing or tattoo minors under any circumstance.
What’s the most difficult moment or challenge you’ve faced as a business owner?
The most difficult challenge is explaining to minors and their family our personal reasons for not tattooing them. We just feel that as a minor, you may not be ready to make such a permanent decision and is best to wait a couple more years.
What’s been your favorite moment or proudest achievement since opening?
The proudest moment was simply opening the shop, there were a lot of obstacles and as husband and wife we calming made it through them and was able to fully comply with every agency involved. It was a great feeling.
How does your business give back or get involved in the community?
We give 25 percent off to any town employee, and 50 percent off to military personnel. We also are in the process of planning some form of fund raiser for art for children and are open to suggestions from the community.
