To Provide Relief From Oppressive Heat, Town Opens Cooling Stations
North Branford Town Hall from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and Atwater Memorial Library, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Wednesday.
NORTH BRANFORD, CT —Following the Extreme Hot Weather Protocol activated by Gov. Ned Lamont Monday, the town opened cooling stations to ensure vulnerable residents have protection available from the heat now through Wednesday.
The hot weather protocol is in response to forecasted oppressive temperatures and humidity through Wednesday, with temperatures rising well into the 90s over the next several days.

North Branford Town Hall – 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Mon. -Wed.
909 Foxon Road, North Branford
Atwater Memorial Library – 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Mon. – Wed.
1720 Foxon Road, North Branford
The main entrance at the library location will remain until 8:00 p.m. Those needing cooling shelter will be able to access the main entrance, community room, and bathroom at any point during the day. The Town Hall will be open for shelter only between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.
