Purple Power: North Branford Residents Vote For Official Town Flag
Of the 463 votes cast at the PoCo Festival, the vast majority chose the town seal on a purple background over blue or red, white and blue.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT - At its Aug. 20 meeting, the North Branford Town Council received the votes cast during the North Branford Potato and Corn Festival, AKA PoCo, to choose a new town flag.
The choices were between three flags selected from various designs by the Council. The winner by a wide margin was the flag with the town emblem featuring a purple background.

The Town Council voted unanimously, 6-0 with 3 absences, in favor of approving the selected flag as the new flag for the town of North Branford.
The new town flag will soon be seen flying at town buildings and facilities, and a 3-foot by 5-foot version will be made available to the public for purchase shortly for display at homes and businesses.
