Want To Fly Town's New Flag? They're Available To Buy Now

NORTH BRANFORD, CT —The new official town flag of North Branford is available now for residents to purchase. The flag shows the official town emblem on a field of purple.

Those who want to purchase a flag for display at their homes to show community spirit can now obtain a 3x5 nylon outdoor version of the flag for $40 cash or check (made out to town) in the Town Manager's office at Town Hall, 909 Foxon Rd.

"We are working on setting up an online purchase portal for the flags with pickup at Town Hall, which we expect to launch soon," Town Manager Michael Downes said.

At its Aug. 20 meeting, the North Branford Town Council received the votes cast during the North Branford Potato and Corn Festival to choose a new town flag.

The choices were between three flags selected from various designs by the Council. The winner by a wide margin was the flag with the town emblem featuring a purple background.
The vote tally was:

Flag #1 (purple background) 322

Flag #2 (blue background) 70

Flag #3 (red/white/blue background) 71

The Town Council voted unanimously, 6-0 with 3 absences, in favor of approving the selected flag as the new flag for the town of North Branford.
