Applications Sought For Youth Poet Laureate In North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Are you a North Haven Teen who loves poetry? If so, please apply to be our town’s Youth Poet Laureate. The title of Youth Poet Laureate will be given to a selected North Haven teen (age 13-18) resident who has demonstrated poetic, academic, and artistic excellence within our community.

North Haven’s Youth Poet Laureate will serve a two-year term as an ambassador participating in poetry workshops, public speaking engagements, and collaboration with the North Haven Memorial Library.

Teens interested in applying to North Haven’s Youth Poet Laureate must submit their completed application by Friday, Nov. 1 at 5 p.m. The Youth Poet Laureate will be selected by the Youth Poet Laureate Committee. The selected candidate will start their appointment in January 2025.
