Child Porn Found On Man’s Computers At Best Buy: North Haven Police
The man was arrested after child pornography was found on computers that were being serviced at Best Buy in North Haven, according to police
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A Hamden man was arrested Friday on a child pornography charge after a lengthy investigation, according to North Haven police.
Police responded to Best Buy on Universal Drive in North Haven on March 6 on the report of potential Child Sexual Abuse Material that was found on two computers during a file transfer, according to police.
North Haven detectives then coordinated with other state and federal agencies, according to police.

After a lengthy investigation, police said the State of Connecticut Forensic Laboratory and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children confirmed the presence of Child Sexual Abuse Material during an analysis of the computers.
Police said an arrest warrant was obtained for the owner of the computers, identified as 73-year-old Edward Beaudette of Hamden.

Beaudette was arrested Oct. 4 and charged with second-degree illegal possession of child pornography. He was held in lieu of a $50,000 bond Friday morning at Meriden Superior Court, according to police.
