Obituary: Veronica "Ronnie" Sgambato, 96, of North Haven
Ronnie worked as a budget assistant for SNET and as a travel agent for many years. She enjoyed traveling and cherished time with family.
NORTH HAVEN, CT - (From Washington Memorial Funeral Home) Veronica "Ronnie" Sgambato, 96 of North Haven died peacefully on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford.
She was the beloved wife of the late Alphonse Sgambato. Ronnie was born in New Haven on May 6, 1925, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary Anastasio Ferraiolo.
She lived in Branford for 10 years before moving to North Haven in 1963. She was a budget assistant for SNET Co. for 35 years retiring in 1981. She was also a travel agent, and along with her husband loved traveling to many destinations through out the world.
She worked for Mercury Travel for five years, and Adler Travel Agency for 25 years. Ronnie is survived by her niece Monica Scott of Hamden and her nephew Kevin McBride of Ledyard.
She was predeceased by her sister Ann McBride and her brother Frank "Terry" Ferraiolo.
Funeral services for Ronnie are private, and have been entrusted to the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
