Student, 12, Arrested In Threat Against ACES School: North Haven PD
A 12-year-old student was arrested in connection with a threatening message made against a school in North Haven, according to police.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A 12-year-old student was arrested Monday morning in connection with a threatening message made against ACES Mill Road School in North Haven.
Officers responded around 8:15 a.m. to ACES, which police noted is not a North Haven public school, on the report of a potential threat made toward the school / students.
A parent said that their child was in a group chat where an unidentified person posted a photo of a firearm and stated “don’t go to school,” according to police.

Police said North Haven officers immediately responded to the school, while detectives began investigating the number / origin of the threatening message.
“Patrol officers secured children arriving off their buses as detectives identified the suspect, who was identified as a 12-year-old student,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “The student suspect was located in one of the groups patrol officers had secured and was not in possession of a firearm. Contact was made with a parent / guardian.

“During the investigation it was learned the student was never in possession of a firearm, nor do they have access to one.”
The student was charged with second-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace, in addition to “any school administrative punishment they may face,” according to police.
“We appreciate the continued partnership and commitment from ACES, to keeping our children and schools safe,” police wrote.
