Thieves Targeted Expensive Package Deliveries In North Haven: Report
Package thieves recently tracked deliveries containing expensive electronics to an address in North Haven, according to a report.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — Package thieves recently tracked a North Haven resident’s deliveries that contained expensive electronics twice in two days, according to WTNH News 8.
WTNH reported the incidents were caught on surveillance camera and the thieves targeted packages that contained an iPad and iPhone.
The resident told WTNH that package thieves are getting tracking numbers from a company and following the delivery trucks.

Heriberto Perez-Cabral, 26, of Bronx, New York, was arrested last week after police said he tried to steal a package from a home on Corey Road in North Haven.
Police said Perez-Cabral was confronted by the homeowner and left the package, which contained a new iPad. He was later found traveling in a vehicle on Clintonville Road and taken into custody, according to police.

Police warned that there have been a “rash of similar crimes being committed around the region.”
“If you are ordering electronics, use caution as suspects may be tracking the deliveries and plan to take the packages when delivered,” police said in a post on Facebook at the time.
