Date Set For Stew Leonard's First-Ever Costumed Character Parade

NORWALK, CT — Stew Leonard’s in Norwalk will host their first-ever character parade on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 9 a.m. Families are invited to line the parade route from Stew’s farmers’ market to the pumpkin patch as Stew Leonard’s most loved costume characters and animatronics strut their stuff for fans. Clover the Cow will lead the parade, followed by the Avocado Girls, Chiquita Banana Diva Cheese, and Stewie the Duck, among others.

Along the parade route, ribbon twirlers and bubble blowers will be joined by other surprise guests. The Norwalk Conservatory will provide musical entertainment. Ten Stew Leonard’s “super fans,” ranging in age from toddlerhood to 12, will serve as the parade’s grand marshals. The super fans hail from across the tri-state area and were selected after parents submitted a short write-up about why their children are Stew Leonard’s “super fans.”

At the end of the parade, families are invited to join the characters in Stew’s pumpkin patch for a meet & greet. Seasonal treats – including candy apples and kettle corn - will be available for purchase, plus children will enjoy complimentary pumpkin painting, face painting, and a balloon twister.

The event is complimentary and there is no need to pre-register.
