Update 6:04 p.m.:
City Hall, Norwalk government offices, schools, Norwalk Public Library and the Norwalk Transit District will all be shut down on Tuesday because of the storm, according to an announcement on the Norwalk city government website:

City Hall and libraries are closed to the public effective 2pm today and all day Tuesday January 27th. Non-essential personnel should not report to work on Tuesday January 27th.

Norwalk Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, the district announced on its website:
“Due to the expected storm, all Norwalk Public Schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 27.”
Update 5:59 p.m.:
YWCA Darien/Norwalk closed at 11:30 a.m. Monday and will remain closed on Tuesday.

An announcement from Norwalk city government:
Mayor Rilling has declared a snow emergency/parking ban in the City f Norwalk effective at noon today. Vehicles parked on snow emergency routes may be ticketed and towed.
Residents are reminded that they should move vehicles off the street so as to facilitate efficient snow removal operations.
The Maritime Garage and the Yankee Doodle Garage are available for residents to park without charge until the snow emergency/parking ban has been lifted.

The latest estimate on how much snow may accumulate in Norwalk, from the National Weather Service, is 18 to 29 inches, through Tuesday night.
- Norwalk Public Schools are closing three hours early on Monday.
- The Norwalk Senior Center is closing early, according to WFSB-TV.

- Monday: Periods of snow. High near 27. Wind chill values between 5 and 10. Blustery, with a northeast wind 16 to 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
- Tonight:Snow with widespread blowing snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Some thunder is also possible. Low around 20. Wind chill values between 5 and 10. Blustery, with a north wind 22 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 9 to 13 inches possible.
- Tuesday: Snow with widespread blowing snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Some thunder is also possible. High near 24. Wind chill values between 5 and 10. Blustery, with a north wind 22 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 7 to 11 inches possible.
- Tuesday Night: Light snow, mainly before midnight. Low around 16. Wind chill values between zero and 5. Northwest wind 16 to 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
- Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 26. North wind 10 to 14 mph.
