Norwalk Fire Department Promotes 5, Swears In 8 During Ceremony

The Norwalk Fire Department promoted five officers and swore in eight probationary firefighters during a ceremony this week.

NORWALK, CT — The Norwalk Fire Department promoted five officers and swore in eight probationary firefighters during a ceremony this week.

According to the city's Facebook page, the promotional swearing-in ceremony was held Wednesday at the fire department on Connecticut Avenue.

During the ceremony, the following officers were promoted:

  • D.F.M. George Baez
  • Capt. Chad Boudreau
  • D.F.M. Janes Cocchia
  • D.F.M. Troy Donohue
  • Lt. Anthony Papacoda

The following new probationary firefighters were also sworn in during the ceremony:

  • Joseph Bicocchi
  • Gregory Blu
  • Timothy Izzo
  • Peter Lainas
  • Marqus Pritchett
  • Alex Ribeiro
  • Jesse Rodgerson
  • Anthony Wadelton

"Thank you to all Norwalk's bravest for choosing to serve the residents of Norwalk," city officials said on Facebook.
