Norwalk Man Accused Of Sexual Assault Of A Minor: Police

Norwalk police said the incident occurred in 2021.

NORWALK, CT — A 54-year-old Norwalk man was arrested on a warrant this week in connection with a reported sexual assault of a minor in 2021, according to authorities.

Edgar Teque-Ramirez was arrested Monday on charges of fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a child.

"The investigation spanned several months, and detectives were able to secure an arrest warrant based on probable cause and the facts of the case," said Sgt. Ryan Evarts in a statement.

Additional details were not disclosed.

Teque-Ramirez was released after posting bond on bail of $75,000, and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Dec. 19.
