Connecticut Gas Prices Down After Thanksgiving

The price per gallon dropped modestly in the past week and is down ten cents in a month.

Gas in Connecticut is averaging $3.79 per gallon, down from $3.81 a week ago. While prices have been steadily dropping according to ConnecticutGasPrices.com, no major price drops or increases are expected in the coming month.

The national average is $3.43 per gallon but dropped only .4 cents in the past week.

"The national average may continue to moderate slightly by Christmas, but I'm not expecting significant decreases or increases in the national average in the short term at this point,” said Patrick DeHaan, a senior analyst at GasBuddy.com, the parent company of ConnecticutGasPrices.com.

DeHaan added, “There are several factors putting both upward pressure and downward pressure on oil and gasoline, and I expect some fluctuation in prices, but overall, there will likely not be much change between today and Christmas.”
