Route 67 Back Open In Oxford, Officials Say

OXFORD, CT — Route 67 has reopened at Route 42 after a closure due to downed wires, and a transformer was reported late Friday morning, according to state officials.

The closure was reported at 11:49 a.m. Friday, December 19th, emergency crews responded to secure the scene and address the damaged utility equipment. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and follow posted detours while repairs are underway.

The incident comes as bad weather moved through Connecticut, with gusty winds contributing to utility and roadway issues in multiple communities statewide.

The roadway reopened around 4 p.m., officials said.
