19-Year-Old Driver Injured After Car Hits Tree In Oxford
The single-vehicle crash occurred Wednesday night on Hogsback Road in Oxford, according to state police.
OXFORD, CT — A single-vehicle crash sent a car into a tree on Hogsback Road Wednesday night, according to local fire officials and state police.
The crash was reported at about 10:43 p.m., when Oxford firefighters responded to Hogsback Road near Somers Lane for a report of a vehicle that had struck a tree.

State police said the vehicle — a 2007 Honda Accord — was traveling westbound when the 19-year-old driver lost control and struck trees along the side of the road, causing significant front-end damage. The driver was transported to Griffin Hospital with possible minor injuries, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
Oxford police and Oxford EMS also assisted at the scene, officials said.
