OXFORD, CT — A construction company employee was injured when struck by the side mirror of a passing car Tuesday morning.

The incident took place on routes 67 and 42, and involved the worker being struck by the mirror on the driver's side. The worker was alert, but was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, according to state police.

The case remains under investigation, police said.
