As Fall Sports Practices Begin, A Look At Oxford's Team Title History, 2025 Schedules
A look at the state title history for Oxford High School fall teams, plus schedules for this year's varsity squads.

OXFORD, CT — Monday marked the first day for official workouts for high school fall sports programs across Connecticut, with the exception of golf which began practices last week (full contact is permitted at football practices beginning this weekend). With the coming of the new season comes the hope for success, with the ultimate goal being winning a state championship.
Just one Oxford High School team has captured a state title during the fall season. In 2011, the girls cross country squad won the Class SS crown, compiling 53 points to 64 for runner-up Griswold. Oxford employed the "pack running" strategy, with four competitors placing in the top 10 - Caylee Richardson, Marcea Stilson, Skyler Werner and Stephanie Vitka.
New head coaches for the fall are Elliott Via and Joseph DeLuise for cross country, and Wilson Rodrigues takes over the girls' soccer program.
