Teenaged Suspects In Oxford Carjacking Arrested In Meriden
Two teenagers suspected of being part of a group which carjacked a BMW in Oxford Sunday were arrested in Meriden Tuesday.

OXFORD, CT — A pair of teenagers suspected of committing a carjacking in Oxford over the weekend were picked up in Meriden Tuesday after attempting to enter a BMV which had been stolen in that case, state police said.
On Sunday, officers from the Oxford Resident Trooper Office were dispatched to the Oxford House Tavern on Oxford Road for a reported carjacking of a 2021 BMW X3 that was taken by four males wearing surgical masks, armed with at least one handgun, state police said.
Detectives assigned to the FBI Violent Crime & Gang Task Force (Safe Streets) assumed the investigation due to a federal nexus created by an armed carjacking. On Tuesday, the stolen BMW was located in Meriden and surveillance was established by state police, FBI task force members and Meriden police personnel. Detectives observed two juvenile males attempting to enter the BMW, and after a brief foot pursuit, they were apprehended and taken into custody, state police said.
